  1. Longest Tail Feather Contest

    November 30, All Day

    Pheasant hunters galore! Bring the tail feather from your prize bird to the GBRC office to enter it in our Lon- gest Tail Feather Contest. The contest will run through the 2015/16 Pheasant hunting season. All entries must be turned in by Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016. The winner will receive a $30.00 Chamber Gift certificate donated by Smokin Aces Gun Shop. The winning entry will become property of the GBRC.

  2. Barton County Commission Meeting

    November 30, 9:00 AM

    The Barton County Commission will meet in Room 106 at the Courthouse. These meetings are held each Monday morning at 9 a.m. (except holidays) and are open to the public.

  3. GBPL Maker Space Mondays

    November 30, 4:00 PM

    Each Monday afternoon, the staff at the Great Bend Public Library will host a "Maker Space Monday" for 1st through 6th grade students to come and learn how to make all sorts of fascinating things. This includes art projects, science experiments, and even delicious snacks. The program lasts about one hour and begins each Monday at 4 p.m.

  4. Santa’s Workshop

    November 30, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    Enjoy and evening of holiday cheer, festive crafts, food, music and more at the City Auditorium from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. This is a free family event for all ages. Santa Clause will make his appearance. GBHS student organizations are busy planning Santa’s Workshop partnering with the Great Bend Recreation Commission and local businesses.

  5. GBHHH Grief Support Meeting

    November 30, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

    The next eight-class series begins Monday, Oct. 12 and runs through Nov. 30. Classes are from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at GBHH&H, 3520 Lakin, Room 103. Entrance is on Lincoln Street. It is strongly recommended that participants attend all eight Monday evening sessions. “I understand that things come up in daily life but there is so much information and we want to share it,” Chaplain Larry Schumacher said. “We don’t want people to miss out on information that can help them.” For more information, contact Schumacher or Soeken by calling 620-792-8171.
