  2. GIANT Easter Egg Hunt

    April 19, All Day

    For the sixth year in a row, First Assembly of God is sponsoring the biggest Easter egg hunt the Great Bend community has ever seen. On Saturday, April 19th at 1 p.m., children through sixth grade are welcome and encouraged to come to First Assembly of God Church, 601 Patton Road in Great Bend, to get in on the thousands of candy-filled eggs that will be given away during the event. Other prizes will be given away as well. Between the age group hunts, there will also be live performances from the First Assembly Youth Group and Jam Squad. This event is free to attend, and all are welcome. Each child is responsible for bringing his or her own basket or bag to collect eggs in. No tinsel or basket filler material is allowed on the field. This hunt was held at the GBHS Football Field in the past, but has moved to First Assembly of God.   3. Benefit 5k Run/Walk for Royal Family Kids Camp

    April 19, 7:00 AM

    The "Runners of Barton County" group and First Assembly of God are teaming up to host a Benefit 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, April 19th at 7 a.m. The race will begin and end at Brit Spaugh Park on North Main in Great Bend. The event will benefit Royal Family Kids Camp, a summer camp for abused or neglected foster children in Kansas. The goal is to raise enough money to send at least 30 local children to the camp this summer.   4. Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt

    April 20, All Day

    The annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Great Bend Noon Kiwanis Club is set for 9:30 a.m. sharp on Saturday, April 19th. The hunt will be at the Kiwanis Walking Track on the north side of Veteran's Memorial Park just off McKinley Street in Great Bend. The event is open to all area children pre-school through 6th grade. There will be lots of Easter eggs and prizes will be given for special eggs.
