CURRENT LOT SALE RESULTS

On August 6, 2003 at 10 a.m. a lot option lottery was held at the City of Great Bend Council Chambers. There were a total of twenty-two pre-enrollments in the lottery. All enrollments resulted in the sale of lot options for a total of twenty-two lots. Of the lot options sold sixteen (16) were for $12,500, three (3) were $10,500, and three (3) were $19,500 (the fourth and final $19,500 lot option was sold immediately following the lottery). The total cost of all lot options purchased was $309,500.
After August 6th lot options for the remaining lots were made available for purchase on a first come basis. Of the remaining lots options twelve (12) were sold for $12,500 and two (2) were sold for $10,500. Counting the lottery and subsequent lot option sales, a total of 37 lots were sold for a grand total of $467,000. Since this amount exceeded the total amount of private funds needed ($461,000) for the City of Great Bend to exercise its own option on the entire plot of land for the proposed subdivision and cemetery, authorization was given to Mayor Allison by the Great Bend City Council to sign all legal documents exercising the 90-day option.
As the City of Great Bend moves forward with development efforts, they will continue to sell options on the remaining lots. There are still 12 lots remaining in the initial development phase of Amber Meadows.
