Dana Dawson, a lifetime resident of Great Bend, is serving his third term as a council member for the fourth ward. He is a graduate of GBHS and attended The Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology. Dana was a former board member of the Kansas Jewelers Association, and a former Barton County sheriff's reserve officer. He is a member of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce. Dana and his wife Diana are the owners and operators of Dawson Jewelers Designs by Dana, which they started in 1990. They are members of the First Christian Church in Great Bend . Dana and Diana have one daughter, Rebecca.
