The Great Bend Fire/EMS has two staffed stations, and one unmaned station. Station 1 is located at 1205 Williams in the Downtown area. Station 2 is located on the west end of town at 5851 10th street. Station 3 houses the ARFF truck at the Airport. The Great Bend Fire Department is a full time department with a Chief, 24 shift personel, 1 Building Inspector, 1 Fire Inspector, 1 ambulance billing clerk, 1inspection services technician and 5 volunteers. The department prvides Fire Protection, Rescue and Emergency Medical Service for the City of Great Bend and surrounding area. The department also provides fire and building inspections, along with building permits.
