Visual Impairment, Graffiti & Animal Shelters
Tree & Shrub Visual Impairment
It is against Ordinance 12.4 for a tree or shrubs to disrupt the flow of traffic safely at any intersection in the City of Great Bend or block any right of way.
The work to correct any violations may be done by the property owner or any licensed tree trimmer.
Graffiti
It shall be against City Ordinance 8.08.210 for graffiti to be allowed on any building in the City limits. The person owning the property and/or occupying it shall be notified and given five days to remedy the violation.
Should the violation not be corrected a notice shall be sent by certified mail giving the owner / resident 10 days to correct violation before it will come before the Governing Body for approval to abate said graffiti and charge it against the property.
Animal Shelters
It is in violation of ordinance 6.08.150 to allow animal feces to accumulate on private or public property so as to cause a health hazard, obnoxious odor, or visual blithe in the City. Confines should be cleaned once a week. The owner / resident shall be given 24 hours to clean the violation.
If the violation is not remedied, the matter will be brought before the Governing Body for approval to abate, and the cost will be assessed to the owner.
