Plans for the Future

Wastewater Treatment FacilityOverview
The City has completed a feasibility study for future needs, to enable the WWTF to comply with proposed Total Nitrogen (TN) of 8.0 mg/l and Total Phosphorus (TP) of 1.5 mg/l.

City Staff have indicated their desire to develop an overall plan to address not only the near-term needs, but also the long-range goals of the Wastewater Treatment Facility and to address biosolids handling.

The goal of this study is to determine the most cost-effective improvements that will assure compliance with current and anticipated regulatory requirements on treatment and biosolids handling. The study will also assure the ability of the Wastewater Treatment Facility to meet current and projected needs through year 2030.
