Skateboard Park Rules and
Regulations
- Unsupervised Area -
Participate at your own risk, using caution to avoid injury.
- Children under 5 years
of age should not use the Skate Park without adult supervision.
- Skateboards, skates,
inline skates, and scooters only are allowed. No motorized vehicles. No
unauthorized ramps or obstacles permitted. Bicycles are allowed until 2:00
p.m. on Wednesdays, and after 3:00 p.m. Sundays.
- Recommended Safety
Equipment: Wear helmets, kneepads, elbow pads, and other safety equipment
to minimize injuries. Be alert and exercise common sense, as well as, common
courtesy.
- Alcohol, tobacco and
drug free zone. Get your high from the ride.
- No graffiti or defacing
property. No offensive language.
- Please keep the Skate
Park clean! Glass containers, food, and drinks are prohibited within the
fenced skating area. Trash containers are placed near entrance to fenced
area.
- Parks and Recreation
Department may reserve Skate Park for lessons or events.
- Report all problems
to Parks and Recreation Department at 793-4160. Office is located in Brit
Spaugh Park and is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Safety Guidelines
- Know your abilities
and skate within them.
- Wear safety equipment.
- Note ramp and weather
conditions before skating. Weather conditions will affect ramp and surface
conditions, i.e. heat, moisture, snow, etc.
- Do not proceed down
ramps until clear of other skaters and/or debris.
- Skate with
the traffic.
- Be cool and
follow the rules! Violation may result in loss of skating privileges.
