Alumni
Annually, the Administration from the City of Great Bend and other community leaders make visits to college campuses to specifically meet with former Great Bend students. The students are provided a meal, given a plate of homemade cookies, and given some nice door prizes.
The City wants to show the alumni of the City Youth Academy and Great Bend High School that the City still cares about them, even after they have moved away to college. The students complete surveys outlining what they are doing in college, what their college education is preparing them for and whether the City can be involved in helping them locate jobs after they have graduated.
