KWEC Discovery Camp II
Date: July 16, 2019 - July 18, 2019
Discovery Camp II for those students that have completed grades 4th through 6th grade will be held on Tuesday, July 16th and Thursday, July 18th. Camp will be from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. The camp will feature outdoor exploration during the cooler part of the day, followed by indoor activities, including experiments, crafts, games and other activities. Registration is required by June 21, by calling 877-243-9268. Camp fee is $20.00, all snacks are provided but campers must bring a lunch. There is a limited number of spaces so don't delay.

Anomalous Sites: Photography by Dr Paul Rudy Exhibit Dates: June 21 – August 1 An exhibit of transcendent images found in unexpected places. July 19th 6:30 PM Public Reception and musical performance by the artist. Paul Rudy (b. 1962) is a Rome Prize (2010), Guggenheim (2008), Fulbright (1997) and Wurlitzer Foundation (2007 and 2009) Fellow. Backyard Bible Blast

Backyard Bible blast is held weekly during the summer for children of all ages. Every Wednesday through the summer, we will have games, music, lunch, and a Bible lesson. GBRC Imagination Playground
Go Wild & Play! Experience the Imagination Playground! Bring your tots and enjoy yourself at the GBRC Activity Center, 2715 18th Street on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. Morning Hours: 9:30-11am Dates: July 17, Sept. 4, Sept 18 No Evening Times in the Summer. These Play Experiences are a free drop in program recommended for children 2 years & up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
ALEXANDER WHO USED TO BE RICH LAST SUNDAY
Join Donna Krug, Cottonwood District FCS Agent, and her helpers at the Great Bend Recreation Activity Center (2715 18th St.) for a StoryWalk adventure. The book will be displayed on white boards as children walk in the area surrounding the My BackYard Playground. Children will be able to come inside and sample some food that is mentioned in the book. This StoryWalk is a free program set for 10:00 – 11:30 am on Wednesday, July 17th. The activity targets children up to age 12 along with their parents or caregivers.
