Zoo Rules
Tormenting animals is not tolerated and guests found doing so will be asked to leave immediately. We reserve the right to escort from zoo grounds any individuals or groups who are acting in ways deemed harmful to our animals, zoo grounds or that impinge up on the enjoyment of the park by other guests.
Guardrails, fences and barriers must be respected at all times for the safety of both the guests and animals. Do not place children on the railings.
Do not throw anything into animals’ exhibits or the water. Even the simplest object can be hazardous if swallowed.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. There must be one chaperone over the age of 18 for every ten guests between the ages of 6-17 and one chaperone for every five children ages 0-5.
Alcohol, balloons, selfie sticks, loud music, balls, kites, Frisbees, and squirt guns are prohibited.
Pets are not allowed within the zoo and are not to be left locked in personal vehicles. Service animals are allowed as long as they remain under the guest’s control at all times. Guests are solely responsible for the care of their animals. We ask that if you notice that our animals become agitated you move on to the next exhibit.
Touching animals is to be avoided including free roaming peafowl and native wildlife.
Roughhousing and horseplay, as well as running around or screaming, is discouraged, as it bothers the animals and other guests.
Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times.
Bikes, scooters, skates, skate-shoes, skateboards, hover boards, etc...are not permitted on zoo grounds.
Do not pick or disturb the plants. Naturally occurring materials such as eggs, plants, hair, feathers etc. may not be removed from zoo grounds.
Feeding animals other than fish and wild birds is strictly prohibited. Zoo animals are provided well-balanced diets that provide for all of the nutritional needs.
No smoking, E-cigarettes or chewing tobacco on zoo grounds.
Trash and aluminum can recycling receptacles are available throughout the zoo, please help keep the zoo clean by not littering.

During your visit, you may be videotaped or photographed by Great Bend-Brit Spaugh Zoo staff or authorized guest. Your entrance into the zoo serves as permission for use of your image by these parties. Commercial photography or filming is prohibited without the express permission of Great Bend-Brit Spaugh Zoo.
