This year, our employee “Doug Burt” celebrated his 50th anniversary with the city in September and we congratulate Doug on this achievement! We have other employees who have devoted many years to their position with us as well. It takes time to learn any job and a person really becomes very efficient after years on the job, knowing the work that needs done and knowing the best path to get it done.
The challenge for us, as well as any employer, is in finding the next generation of workers to learn and grow with the City. In the coming months and years, the City will have many retirements of very qualified staff members and that will open opportunities for new staff members.
