Pets are not allowed on zoo property, but we do allow trained service animals to enter the public areas of the zoo. According to the ADA, a service animal is defined as dogs or miniature horses “that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.”
An animal whose sole purpose is to provide emotional support DOES NOT qualify as a service animal under the ADA. WE DO NOT ALLOW EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS. We can provide a copy of the ADA requirements for service animals upon request.
