Every year the Great Bend Fire Department firefighters position themselves at the busiest stores in Great Bend with firefighter boots in hand to raise funds for their annual Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Boot Block campaign. This Boot Block campaign takes place the Friday before Labor Day each year and all proceeds to the MDA Heart of America Chapter. Donations can be made year round at Station #1.
